One of the toughest parts of an attorney’s job involves presenting complex information to a layperson in a digestible format. While you need to give jurors the facts so they can make an informed decision, you must also ensure they understand complicated concepts, which means presenting info on their terms.
Sixty-five percent of people, or about two-thirds, are visual learners. Adding images, graphics, and videos to the mix allows you to present information in your audience’s preferred mediums. Instead of asking them to learn on your terms, you can educate them in a way that’s easier to digest and comprehend.
Don’t limit yourself to static images. You can incorporate all sorts of different visuals into your presentation. Some examples include animated reenactments and enhanced medical graphics.
These and other visual evidence tools can greatly improve engagement and help you hold your audience’s attention from your opening statements until your closing arguments.
