While attempting to cross the street near a Philadelphia construction zone, the plaintiff was struck by a vehicle. The construction project in the area involved several entities, all of whom were responsible for maintaining safety measures around the site. The defendants failed to implement and enforce appropriate traffic control systems, such as visible signage, clear lane markings, and physical barriers to protect both drivers and pedestrians. Shifting traffic patterns due to the construction work created dangerous conditions that directly contributed to the accident.
Challenge
One significant hurdle was demonstrating the direct connection between the defendants' actions—or lack thereof—and the hazardous conditions that led to the incident. With so many entities involved, from contractors to government agencies, determining each party’s specific responsibility can become an intricate task, especially when documentation and oversight practices are inconsistent. Dooley from Fulginiti Law needed a visual presentation to help demonstrate what should have happened versus what actually occurred, connecting the defendants’ actions or inactions to the unsafe conditions that led to the injuries.

Approach
The team at MediVisuals + High Impact created forensic animations, recreating the scene of the accident, showing traffic patterns, the placement of construction equipment, and how safety measures—such as signage or barriers—were absent or improperly implemented. These animations also demonstrated how proper traffic management systems would have mitigated risks, offering a side-by-side comparison that is easy for the viewer to understand.
