A delivery truck at a warehouse had backed in to be loaded. The driver, who was required to be given clearance before exiting the facility, instead got into his truck and began to pull away from the dock as a factory worker was still between the truck and the loading bay. This resulted in the plaintiff falling violently to the ground and sustaining severe tibia and fibula fractures which ultimately led to Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.
Challenge
Opposing counsel argued that the truck's camera system if functioning, could not have prevented the incident from happening, which was contrary to the driver's testimony. Additionally, the company's attorneys criticized the safety policies of the warehouse where the incident occurred.
The plaintiff suffered life-altering orthopedic injuries due to the actions of an inattentive box driver who pulled away from a loading dock before she had completed her loading of the truck.

Approach
High Impact was tasked with creating legal exhibits to demonstrate the mechanism of injury and subsequent surgical repair. Our animation and illustration team created the following:

Result
High Impact provided an animation of the incident which provided more defined and lifelike angles that the video footage of the incident could not provide. The animation proved several of the defense assertions to not be plausible. Additionally, the animation concluded with the plaintiff's fall mechanism which paired with the injury illustrations to assist our efforts and supporting medical testimony as to the severity of the plaintiff's injuries and numerous surgeries that followed.
